OUR PRIVACY POLICY

JWF is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information obtained by reason of your customer relationship with JWF. This policy shall explain the types of personal information that we collect from our customers, how it is used, and the steps we take to ensure your personal information is handled appropriately.

The policies and practices outlined here have been designed to comply with the new Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other existing provincial privacy acts.

1.   JWF collects only the personal information that is required to provide you with products and services. This personal information will include such things as your name, contact information (mailing address, telephone number, and email address) and credit card number. The following are examples of pertinent uses of personal information that our customers provide us:

• To understand the needs of our customers
• To examine the suitability of our products and services that correlate to an individual customer’s needs
• Providing products and services requested by a customer, and to report back to that customer on any current, previous, or future transactions
• To establish, manage, and offer products and services that may meet an individual customer’s needs now or in the future
• To provide customers with ongoing sales service and customer support, and protection against potential error
• To enable general communication between JWF and our customers.
  To meet our company’s legal obligations and requirements under the new Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other existing federal and provincial legislation.

2.   JWF does not sell, lend, share, or disclose personal information to any outside persons, agencies, or organizations for any reason whatsoever. Please note that we may be required by law to disclose relevant personal information if requested under a valid Court Order or by an Officer of the Peace.

3.   JWF shall obtain your express consent (verbally, in writing, or by electronic document) to collect and use sensitive personal information, such as personal financial information.

4.   JWF shall use implied consent to collect and use your personal information if any one of the following conditions applies:

• You are an existing customer
• Express consent has previously been given
• The purpose of using your personal information is reasonably apparent to you.

5.  JWF will keep personal information in our records for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, even if you cease to be an active customer. If we are required to maintain records of personal information for certain periods of time under provincial and federal laws, then we must comply with those laws and regulations, irrespective of any express or implied time limits set forth in this privacy policy.

6.   All information that you provide to us at any time shall be true and complete, and you will not withhold any material information.

7.  We may use any references which you provide to verify information that you give to us. You further authorize any person whom you give as a reference to provide and/or verify any such information that you give us.

8.  If any personal information changes or becomes out-of-date, you will inform us as quickly as possible so that we may update our records. You may contact us in writing to access your personal information that we have on file, for the purposes of amendment or review.

Notwithstanding any legal or contractual obligations, you can refuse to consent to our collection or use of information about you. You may also withdraw your consent to our further collection and use of information about you at any time in the future, providing that you give us reasonable notice in writing. If you refuse or withdraw your consent, please be advised that we may not be able to provide you with certain products or services, which might be of value to you. Our ability to communicate with you will be severely diminished, which will likely result in a detrimental effect or our ability to provide top-quality service to you.
